Catherine came from her native France to England in the late 1980’s when her husband was posted to London for business. Since then she has travelled extensively throughout the world living in Scotland, Colombia, Belgium, but has remained mainly in London. Her working life has taken many turns to include owning her own export business (8 years) where she worked with exquisite jewellery and beautiful ceramics. Catherine has a marketing qualification, but during the last 8 years has become qualified in Psychotherapy and Counselling with Regents College School of Psychotherapy and Counselling (accredited by City University) and is a registered Reflexologist with the British Reflexology Association. Catherine is also trained in Thai Foot massage and Indian Head massage and currently runs her own healing practice. Catherine has been a volunteer for the Resource Cancer Centre and The Trinity Hospice and cares for cancer patients with Reflexology as well as bereavement counseling for relatives.
PLUM is Catherine’s current venture and ‘Le Chastelet’ in St. Jean de Thurac, is the property of Catherine and her family. Catherine, who is tri-lingual, is married to Jean Baptiste - they have two children and live in London.
Yvonne was born in London, but lived in France (Paris) during the 1970’s and 80’s. Her passion for all things healthy has followed her around and she boasts being an ‘organic foodie’ for the past 25 years. Yvonne is a brilliant vegetarian cook and believes in eating only things that grow out of the ground! Yvonne has a Science Degree in Nutrition and Health (BSc Honours - University of Surrey) as well as a Masters Degree in Public Health Nutrition (MSc - London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine). Yvonne has also studied Dance, Yoga, and body massage. In 1989, Yvonne started up and ran The Gym at The Sanctuary in Covent Garden London, which was the first Ladies only Gymnasium and Health club of its type in the World. In 1996, she sold The Gym at The Sanctuary to the then owners of The Sanctuary and it was incorporated into their Day Spa. Yvonne followed this by creating and running The Phillimore Club (Health Club and Spa) in Kensington London which she sold in 1998. This was followed up by becoming the Managing Director of the Aveda Concept Salon in Harvey Nichols (London and Leeds). In 2002 she opened The Chakra Rooms (Spiritual Beauty Concept) which were located in large department stores (Harvey Nichols, House of Fraser, Selfridges etc) in London and in other parts of England. The last couple of years have been dedicated to further study and PLUM is currently a new and exciting venture which Yvonne and Catherine hope to cultivate into something very successful over the coming years. Yvonne, who is tri-lingual, lives with her partner Christopher in London and has three children. She is a devotee of Hippocrates (460-370 B.C.) Greek Physician who is recognized as the father of Western Medicine.
